The pouring rain didn’t dampen any spirits in Reception as our new children began the start of their Pre-Prep journey. They quickly settled into new routines and on the first afternoon, gave some thought to what they might like to do when they grow up.
During our circle times the children shared their ‘All about me bags’ which included their special objects including cupcakes, a London bus and a microphone.
As the second week began, we were greeted by a spider relaxing in the sink; upon close inspection the children discovered he had very hairy legs! In keeping with the weather we sang the song of poor Incy Wincy spider (although this one was rather large), learnt letters of the alphabet in our phonics lesson and did some magnificent bug catching. The children embraced the theme of spiders and made spider hats and a collage picture of our friend 'Incy'.
We wonder where our adventures will take us this week!?
