Y3 stepped back in time to visit Cresswell crags to gain an insight of what life would have been like during the Stone Age.

We were greeted by Anook from the Wooley Rhinocerous Tribe. She told us to be very careful as there were many dangerous creatures around!

Lily, Katie and Charlotte went ahead to see if the caves were safe.

Anook told the story of Luti the cave girl. Charlotte helped with the wolf sound effects!

Frankie helped to tell the story.

Anook showed us the remains of a cave lion's skull, after Luti had won her battle against the fiersome Claw.

We emerged from our story telling session in the cave to enjoy the lovely sunny day.

Y3 archeologists at work!

Jack was impressed with the size of a mammoth tooth.

We were divided into three teams and were challenged to build a shelter to accommodate the whole team.

We were all successful!

Next we had a spear throwing challenge.

After attempting to make fire by rubbing sticks together, Francesca gave a vote of thanks on behalf of Y3. Everyone had a fabulous day and according to some it was... 'The best day ever!'
