Throughout this term, Year 8 have been exploring and responding to the theme of architecture, working in the styles of John Piper, Minty Sainsbury and Sunga Park. They have been encouraged to be inventive with their materials – for some pieces they even used coffee, tea, ash and soil – alongside more conventional artistic media. If pupils found they didn’t have paint or charcoal at home, they were challenged to find alternatives and experiment with these.
