Last Sunday the boarders had a great afternoon at the ice hockey match between the local team, the Steelers and Coventry Blaze. It was the highlight event of our most recent boarding weekend which started with a takeaway curry night in the dining room.

After a good sleep-in, the boarders started their Sunday with a hearty breakfast. This was followed by a fun hour of swimming and games in the school pool. They then headed to the Sports Hall for a session of football and badminton. This was a great way to get active and build an appetite for the roast beef lunch that was to come with Sheryl’s giant Yorkshire puddings.

The highlight of the day was an action-packed afternoon at the Sheffield Arena where the boarders watched the exciting ice hockey match between Sheffield Steelers and Coventry Blaze. The final score was 4-1 after an intense and thrilling game. The pupils watched intently, getting into the spirit of the match and represented the school wonderfully.

The day was rounded off with a trip to Mcdonald’s, which was a much-appreciated way to end a fantastic day out. The pupils all had a great time and are already looking forward to the next Boarders’ weekend – the Murder Mystery.
