Year 2 have been studying Mexico as a grower of Fairtrade corn, and after exploring the culture and people of this vibrant country and ended their week in true Carnival style.
Tasty biscuits were baked and decorated beautifully. Chelsie decorated everyone’s faces in true ‘Dia de los Muertos’ style, the sounds of traditional Mexican guitar music played by Mr Nicholas were very much enjoyed. The children then joined in with guitars and percussion, not to mention clapping, dancing and stamping of feet!
We look forward to sharing our non-fiction writing about Mexico with our parents at the Year 2 project ‘Celebration of Fairtrade Food’.
