We were delighted to welcome Roz Adamson from the charity Aquabox to S. Anselm’s to present a fascinating assembly all about the charity. She explained the incredible work Aquabox is doing to send their AquaFilters and humanitarian aid into areas of natural disaster and man made conflict, where people’s access to safe water supplies is threatened.
Each ‘Aquabox Gold Box’ is tailored to support a family and contains water purification filters as well as items of humanitarian aid to help with shelter and shelter building, lighting, cooking, feeding, educational development and hygiene.
Along with a demonstration of how the filter provides clean water, Roz also shared a story about the Dracunculiasis worm, that the children are unlikely to forget for quite a while!
It was wonderful to see everyone dressed in blue in support of Churchills and for Churchillians to understand how the money they raise within their House this year will be spent, making a huge difference to many people’s lives!
