Welcome

S. Anselm’s College provides exceptional, co-educational day school education from age 13 to age 16 in the heart of the Peak District. We pride ourselves on helping every pupil in our care to fulfil his or her potential.

We quickly get to know our pupils as individuals, encouraging their personal development within a nurturing and supportive environment, supported by first class teaching and facilities.

The traditions and values established in our Prep School over the last 130 years carry through to College life.  Pupils are mutually respectful of each other and feel by supported and encouraged by our highly qualified and dedicated teaching staff.  We promote a sense of community, pride in achievement and genuine enthusiasm for learning.  This ethos, and boutique approach with small class sizes, results in academic and personal success.

Our teaching approach is dynamic and energised, with class-based tuition enhanced by an unrivalled programme of educationally focused visits, field work and events. Not only does this create greater depth of exploration and understanding in a real world context, but it makes learning inspiring and fun.

Promoting creativity and endeavour, our college pupils participate in a varied co-curricular programme that includes overseas expeditions, the Duke of Edinburgh Award, music, arts, sport and enterprise.

With over 50 pupils across three year groups, the College is large enough to create a ‘buzz’ but small enough for every child to know one another and flourish.

Pupils of S. Anselm’s College emerge as decent, compassionate, ambitious individuals with the best academic qualifications of which they are capable – not to mention strong friendships and warm memories of having tremendous fun!

S. Anselm’s College is not currently accepting new admissions.  For further details please contact Mrs Cheryl Stevens.
