Performing & Creative Arts

Creativity is at the heart of the S. Anselm’s ethos and is central to College life.  Irrespective of which GCSE subjects pupils chose, performance and artistic opportunities abound.

The annual College Arts Evening that takes place in the Summer Term includes artistic exhibitions and displays, musical and dramatic performances and poetry readings.

Productions take place annually – not to mention the College Christmas Pantomime – taking full advantage of our school’s 240 seat concert hall/theatre.  Pupils also have the option to take extracurricular LAMDA drama and performance tuition with our specialist coach.

Our College diary includes termly theatre and concert visits, giving pupils extensive opportunities to see and hear live music and productions and visit notable venues during term time.

Most College pupils have individual instrumental or vocal lessons and perform regularly in our special church services, termly concerts, orchestral and choral days.

Even the culinary creativity of our College pupils is challenged through regular hosted meals that each year book conceive, create and host for their parents.
