We were delighted to celebrate the confirmation of four S. Anselm’s pupils by the Rt Revd Bishop Libby Lane in All Saints Parish Church, Bakewell, this Sunday.
The four candidates, Emma, Ruby, Holly and Fran in Year 8, have been prepared for their confirmation by our School Chaplain, Canon Tony Kaunhoven, through a series of lunchtime meetings.
It was a truly uplifting service in which the pupils confirmed their faith in God.
Bishop Libby shared the following prayer:
Defend, O Lord, these your servants with your heavenly grace,
that they may continue yours for ever,
and daily increase in your Holy Spirit more and more,
until they come to your everlasting Kingdom.
