Wednesday saw us playing our first netball matches of the term and there were some super results for our girls, away at Hill House, Doncaster. The overall stats were: Played 5, Won 4, Lost 1, Goals scored = 56, Goal conceded = 20. The U13A and U13B teams played first, with the A team leading 3 – 0 after the first quarter. It was super to see the girls gaining in confidence throughout the game, under the steady charge of school netball captain Libby, who combined with GK Katie and WD Eleanor, kept the Hill House attack at bay. Our U13A shooters Lizzie and Harriet, are both in year 7, but played brilliantly, working well together to score consistently. Mid court player Rosie and Georgie developed their passing, feeding some super balls into the D and also making some well-timed interceptions when in defence mode. All in all a solid team performance and very encouraging results against this large Doncaster school, well played! Player of the math was GA: Lizzie, not only for her great shooting, but also her superb input in the middle third.
