Congratulations to Lydia and Sasha, both members of the S. Anselm’s Equestrian Team, who successfully qualified for the Beaverhall Equestrian Championship Show at the weekend, and performed brilliantly.
Lydia took the championship place in her class on her pony, Mickey (the black pony pictured), and Sasha was reserve champion in her class on her pony, Silver (the grey). The girls are passionate about their sport, having been riding from the age of six and competing from the age of nine at dressage and in showjumping.
Sadly, the Covid crisis has meant that our Equestrian Team has not been able to take part in any NSEA (National Schools Equestrian Association) events yet this year, but all the children continue to put enormous effort into their pony care and training and we look forward to seeing them compete for S. Anselm’s as soon as conditions allow.
