Year 4 has been using concrete resources in maths to aid their understanding of fractions and equivalence. They then moved onto pictorial representations, the seeing stage of maths, where the children can visually see what is meant by equivalence, using the interactive board. The children thoroughly enjoyed this practical Maths lesson and developed a deeper understanding of equivalence from using a variety of methods.
