Our green fingered gardeners in Gardening Club have been delighted with how well their seedlings are growing and the plants are loving this recent warm weather.

Gardening Club takes place after school on Thursday evenings, led by Miss Flack, and is open to all pupils in the Prep School.  Each week, club members make sure the weeds are kept to a minimum to avoid overcrowding and that the vegetables they are cultivating for our catering team have enough water.  This week they have also been ‘thinning out’ some of the rows of plants in order for them to flourish.

The children have already harvested a crop of cress and look forward to sharing more produce with the catering team in the coming weeks.  Lettuce, radish, spring onion and spinach should hopefully be next on the menu!
