The 2022 House Mud Run returned this year and thankfully it wasn’t as cold as is usual at this time of year. It was fantastic to see parents on Top Field supporting all our pupils take on the challenge!

Every child from the Prep School competed on behalf of their School Houses. This year, there was a 15 m-long leaf-covered cargo net to crawl through, a wall of tyres that our runners had to scramble over and the infamous large water jump to navigate, which many navigated in style.

Three races took place during the afternoon, with each becoming successively muddier. Ms Whawell did a fantastic job of warming up each race team prior to their starting whistle whilst our resident dinosaur cheered runners on.

Thank you to all our pupils, staff and parents, whose true S. Anselm’s spirit made the event such a success. Special thanks are due to our grounds team for the enormous amount of preparation that went into setting up the course, and our catering team for warming everyone back up at the finish line, with refreshments.
