River systems are the topic of study for our Year 7 geographers this half term, and pupils have been finding out about how rivers change along their long profile and about the different components of a drainage basin.
To enable pupils to physically examine and understand how natural river systems function, they have been constructing their own 3D models. The results have been amazing with choice of media ranging from paper to Lego, moss, other natural materials and even cake! Others have got out and about to walk along local rivers and make their own commentaries of the landscape.
We are delighted our Year 7s have been so engaged and focused on extending their learning away from their screens!
