It has been just over three weeks since we launched our virtual challenge to the S. Anselm’s community, to run, walk, cycle, swim or row as often as they could to help us travel the equivalent distance from S. Anselm’s in Bakewell to Saint Anselm College, New Hampshire, USA … a journey of over 5000km.  We are delighted to announce that our mission has been accomplished.

Over 700 different activities were recorded in this period and 50% of them were completed by people walking in either the beautiful Peak District or surrounding areas of Derbyshire and South Yorkshire!  It has been wonderful to receive all the inspiring photographs and videos that have been sent in.

Huge congratulations go to Nelsons in the Preparatory School and Earhart in S. Anselm’s College who win the House competitions.  Furthermore, a huge well done to those who won the pupil and staff run/walk, cycle and rowing sections of the challenge.

Scroll down to find the full details, distances and placings.   Prizes will be winging their way to the winners of each individual category.

We are highly impressed with everyone’s commitment to this amazing group effort.  Well done everyone!

Keep an eye out for our next virtual challenge, which our Sports Department is busy planning.  It will be announced after the half term break.
