The Year 1 children enjoyed a fantastic mediaeval banquet, bringing their project on castles to a close. They have been learning about castles, knights, food according to the feudal system of the time and music.
They wore period costumes and ate the food that would have been available to peasants. This included dates, olives, bread, cheeses and meats, accompanied by singing and dancing.
What an unforgettable way to end their project!
