Last Friday, Mr Reeves visited Pre-Prep to give the children of Years 1 and 2 a talk about his time living in Malaysia, in Kuala Lumpur, and to share footage of the amazing plants and animals he saw in the rainforests there.
Years 1 and 2 have immersed themselves in the fascinating study of rainforests since the start of term, learning about the animals that live there, their habitats, diets and family groups. They have even been producing a 36 page, beautifully illustrated encyclopedia on the subject, which has spanned many areas of the curriculum including science, geography, art and literacy – not to mention teamwork!
It was wonderful to hear his first hand experiences and the children learned so much and really enjoyed all his interesting stories!
