In 1998 word went round that a new show was coming to town ‘The Lion King!’

Roger Wright auditioned nine times and landed the role of the adult Simba, for three and a half years 1999-2003, in the original cast, which was to premiere in the ‘West End’ at the Lyceum theatre in London.

Amazingly he was here, at S. Anselm’s this afternoon, giving our lucky cast a masterclass! He has given us tips and hints about acting, the importance of timing within the dialogue and listening t o the music and letting the star within us shine.

If any improvement to yesterday’s performance was possible, Mr Wright’s input has ensured an even better, more professional show tonight.

The buzz around school is electrifying!
