It was lovely to welcome parents to the annual S. Anselm’s College Art Evening to celebrate the pupils’ work.

The library was home to an exhibition of Art and Textiles work created by Kinder, Derwent and Arkwright pupils. Kinder pupils have worked with creativity throughout the year in response to starting points such as ‘Make a Dress out of Paper’ and the ‘Doodle Daydream Project’. In Derwent and Arkwright both the final pieces and a selection of preparatory work, along with sketchbooks was on display. After everyone had settled into their seats to enjoy the evening, pupils performed and presented their work.

Accomplished solos were presented by Orla, Thea and Adam, delighting the audience, as well as a performance from the College Choir.

History pupils gave a stirring account of the battlefields of the WWI and WWII tour. It was also great to see part of the recording of ‘Teechers’ performed by three Arkwright Drama pupils.

The evening was a marvellous insight into the thriving creativity within S. Anselm’s College.
