If accompaniment is required then this can be provided but do please make this apparent on the entry form and send piano copies in advance.

Classes will take the Hargreaves Hall.

The closing date for competition entries is Friday 22nd February. Places for classes will be allocated on a first come, first served basis and there is limited availability so we encourage you to submit your entries as soon as possible.

Class timings will be confirmed after the closing date, to enable us to accommodate competitors who chose to enter more than one class (wherever possible).

How to enter

Competitors may enter individually or as a group via their school or music teacher.

There is no fee for entering.

Entry forms may be downloaded here: Singing Competition Entry Form

Schools or music teachers wishing to co-ordinate entry for their pupils are welcome to contact Mark Percival at singing@anselms.co.uk.

Completed entry forms should be sent to:
Singing Competition, S. Anselm’s School, Stanedge Road, Bakewell, Derbyshire DE45 1DP.

On the day: information for competitors

Competitors should make their way to the School of Music (the building with the clock tower, adjacent to the main S. Anselm’s car park), where they will be welcomed and registered.  Please arrive 15 minutes before your class.

Refreshments will be available throughout the day.

Warm up facilities will available in the School of Music practice rooms on a first come, first served basis.

We encourage competitors and guests to join the audience to listen to other classes during the morning, as it is a marvellous opportunity to hear other vocalists perform, hear a range of different pieces and to listen to the excellent tips and advice shared by the adjudicators.  Please note, however, that you should not enter a class once it has started.
