STEM Club. pupils attending STEM club on Tuesday and Thursday lunchtimes have been faced with the challenge of creating a bridge to support as many dictionaries as possible, using only five sheets of A4 paper and 15cm of sellotape!  This activity is not only designed to get the children thinking about weights, forces and measures, but also presents a team challenge, helping them to develop communication and thinking skills.  The challenges are part of the British Science Association Crest awards scheme; Bridge Blunder is one of eight Superstar challenges that the pupils must compete in order to achieve the Superstar award.

These pictures just show just how brilliantly our pupils rose to the challenge: Elspeth, Grace and Lucy managed to place 36 dictionaries on their bridge and Morris and Henry managed 30!
