The Edale Hill Run

Senior pupils’ tackled Mr Noel’s infamous Edale Hill Run course as part of their games session. The afternoon was glorious and perfect for a delicious barbecue, courtesy of Shez and Karen our Kitchen Wizardesses. After a gentle stroll to the start to familiarise everyone with the course and allow the food to go down they were off, tackling the lower slopes of Kinder Scout initially, before a flat run along the river, stepping stones across the river and then back to The Gathering for the finish, cheered on by numerous parents who had made the trip out to Edale for the occasion. Well done to Elsa of year 7, not only the first girl in but also the winner of the race overall!

Overall Results:

Everyone’s results counted towards the overall finishing places of each house and it was very closely contested.

1^st = Churchills & Nelsons, with a house positional average of 9

3^rd = Pitts with a house positional average of 10.5

4^th = Wellingtons, with a house positional place of 11
