As part of Year 2’s project on Fairtrade foods and where they come from, the children have been studying India and the festival of Diwali.
The story of Rama and Sita has provided the context for our coding lessons as Sita needed rescuing from the island. The children made Indian sweets then performed the traditional gesture of sharing them with friends.
All the children in Nursery and Pre-Prep were wished ‘Happy Diwali’ and enjoyed the coconut delights. Rangoli patterns wer…e also created with coloured rice on the entrance to our building.
Year 2 parents are invited to our ‘Celebration of Fairtrade Foods’ at 2.15pm on Thursday 29th November.
