Pantomime Trip

Friday 6th December  |  Lyceum Theatre, Sheffield

Years 1-8 will be going on the annual Pantomime trip to the Lyceum Theatre in Sheffield.  This year’s production is Cinderella, and stars children’s favourite, Phil Gallagher (CBeebies’ Mister Maker), the legendary Sheffield pantomime Dame, Damian Williams and Strictly’s Joanne Clifton.

Evening arrangements

Please note there will be no Climbing Club on this evening.

Tick off at school: The coaches will return to school at approximately 5.30pm, depending on traffic.  Children will go into school and tick off will be held in Pre Prep or the Hargreaves Hall.  Please do not collect your child straight from the coaches.

School minibuses:  These will run as usual but at a later time to collect the children arriving back from the Pantomime.  College students who return home by bus will need to do prep before getting their bus.  As we cannot confirm exact timings until the night, a text will be sent to all parents as the minibuses leave school, to help gauge the time children will reach their usual drop off destinations.

Collection from the theatre:  If you would like to collect your child from the Lyceum, please confirm this with their form tutor in advance of the trip and and complete ‘tick off’ with them outside the theatre.

Thursday 5th December
Please note there will be no Pre-Prep Yoga or Junior Clubs due to the Christmas Fair.

Christmas Trees

With thanks

Our grateful thanks to Mr & Mrs Norton for their kind donation of our beautiful Christmas trees this year.

Sports Fixture Notices

House Matches

A fantastic morning and afternoon of House football matches were played on Saturday. Both competitions were decided by sudden death penalties but the group stages produced some superb football. There were celebrations and commiserations and in true England style most penalties were saved or missed, but of those that were scored they were taken very well and even Gordon Banks would not have been able to save them. In Y345 the winners were Wellingtons who played Nelsons in the final. In Y678 the final was a repeat of the final group game between Pitts and Churchills. Churchills came away with the trophy on this occasion. A great day of football that was supported well by friends, family and Old Anselmians!

Match Teas

We try our best to provide parents and pupils with match teas. Please may we remember that parents’ match teas are strictly for spectators and not pupils, likewise the pupils’ match teas are for pupils not spectators. We cater for pupil numbers and some pupils were left without on Saturday.
