Our Year 3 pupils started the Summer Term by getting ‘out and about’ for the morning in two local Peak District villages.  As part of their geography syllabus, the children visited both Great Longstone and Little Longstone to observe and take notes on a variety of factors throughout the morning.

The pupils took traffic surveys, looked at the number of old, traditional and modern houses as well as keeping an eye open for any amenities the villages have.  After making some detailed sketches, they headed back to the classroom to continue their studies on the two villages.

As always, the children were a delight and their enthusiastic, cheerful manner certainly brightened up a few people’s day!
