I have 20 years experience working at S. Anselm’s School, supporting the Head of Boarding to create a safe welcoming home for children. I bring practical knowledge and a calm, caring approach to life in residence.
As Assistant Matron, my focus is always on the children. I help oversee the day-to-day running of the boarding house, making sure every pupil feels safe, listened to and truly at home. Whether it’s helping a child settle in or offering reassurance at the end of a long day, I am always there with a friendly face and support.
I enjoy running a very popular cookery club on Friday evenings, which the children are always excited about. It’s wonderful to see them laughing, learning new skills and growing in confidence as they create something to be proud of. I love watching their independence grow, supporting them every step of the way.
As a parent of two children, I understand just how important it is for children to feel secure, valued and happy away from home. This helps me create a nurturing environment where boarders feel cared for and understood.
My favourite thing about boarding is the strong sense of community and seeing children thrive in a place that truly feels like a home-from-home.
