School Fees

Girls working in the classroom

We’ve adjusted our fees to help with the government’s recent tax increase, making our school more accessible for all.

Our termly fees include all academic tuition, meals, supervised preps, text books (unless notified separately), core games tuition and transport to/from school fixtures.

A few variable expenses and certain optional extras are charged on the school account as necessary – these may include trips and expeditions, external examination fees, individual learning support and individual music and drama lessons.

General Fee information

Paying Fees

We charge tuition and boarding fees termly, in advance. Payment of fees is due on or before the first day of the school term. You can pay by bank transfer, cheque, or standing order (four monthly payments per term). If you wish to pay by standing order, please contact bursar@anselms.co.uk for banking information.

We offer a 5% discount if you pay annually and a 10% discount for siblings.

Attendance and absences

No remission of fees can be made on account of absence. Fees are reviewed annually by the Governing Body of the School.

It is a condition of entry that a term’s written notice of withdrawal is required, otherwise a term’s fees in lieu of notice will be payable.

School fees are payable in advance on or before the first day of the term for which they are due. The Trustees reserve the right to charge interest on any fees which remain unpaid and refuse admittance to any pupil whose basic fees remain unpaid. Please refer to our terms and conditions for full details.

Extras & Additional Fees

Extras and additional Fees

Educational visits organised by form or subject teachers as part of the curriculum are charged separately.

Optional activities such as specialist clubs or clubs run by external experts (such as music, pottery or LAMDA), as well as excursions, such as theatre visits, are also charged separately as extras.

Additional support from our Learning Support Team is charged per one-to-one or group session.

Instrumental lessons throughout the school are usually 40 minutes long and are charged in advance by separate contract directly with the peripatetic music teacher.

Children may purchase stationery, house badges and other sundries from the school office.

Assisted Places

Bursaries

Parents of applicants who believe a S. Anselm’s education is beyond their means may apply for a means-tested financial support through the school’s bursary funding scheme. Whilst scholarships give limited financial support, there is no upper limit to the value of bursarial support; however, the number of bursaries available in any one year does depend upon funds available. To find out more on how to apply for a means-tested bursary please email admissions@anselms.co.uk.

MOD families

If your family is entitled to receive the Continuity of Education Allowance (CEA) from the Ministry of Defence, the S. Anselm’s forces bursary programme will reduce the fees for boarding to the full CEA rate.

Little Puddings

Opening hours

Little Puddings is open from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, offering full‑day, morning and afternoon sessions.

We operate for 51 weeks of the year, closing for one week between Christmas and New Year.

Additional wrap around sessions from 7.30am to 8.00am and 6pm to 6.30pm are available at an additional cost of £7.50 per session.

Funding

We offer the government’s 15‑hour and 30‑hour funded childcare options across all the weeks we are open. When using stretched funding, this provides 10 or 20 hours per week respectively, with families able to apply for up to 10 hours per day.

Please note that a food charge of £10 for a full day, or £5 for a half day, still applies on funded sessions, as government funding does not cover the cost of meals. Government funded hours cannot be used for the wrap around service from 7.30am to 8am and 6pm to 6.30pm.
