Annabel is a former registered Nursing Sister with 20 years experience in district and practice nursing, plus hospital experience in coronary care and urology. She was the senior nursing sister for a practice of 15,000 patients, responsible for the quality of care, training and mentorship of the healthcare team. Annabel was also responsible for the Care Quality Commission (regulatory) compliance. As a district nurse Annabel was an experienced practitioner of the Liverpool Care Pathway for Palliative Care and Wound Management.

Annabel is formally qualified in Sexual Health, End of Life care, Audiology, Diabetes, Spirometry and Phlebotomy, has significant experience in dealing with eating disorders and has attended courses in Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and in Safeguarding Children.

Annabel advised Thornbury Hospital on patient outcomes and supported her local surgery with healthcare illness cover.
